GThis is the Go2Group HipChat Plugin for JIRA and is an adaptation of the Atalassian HipChat plugin with additional features added on to it.

Following are the features available:

• Notify Hipchat post-function. This can be added at any workflow transition.

• Subscription to selected issue events, configured per project. Following are the events supported:

• • Issue Created
  • Issue Updated
  • Issue Assigned
  • Issue Commented
  • Issue Deleted
  • Workflow Changes

Installation

The plugin can be installed via UPM as mentioned [here| https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Managing+JIRA%27s+Plugins#ManagingJIRAsPlugins-InstallingaJIRAPlugin

After the installation, click on the configure link or go to Administration > System > Security > HipChat Configuration to add a valid "Admin HipChat API token"

Usage

Notify Hipchat post-function

This is a simple post function that can be added at any stage in the workflow. Users can configure a JQL query as part of the post function and select various HipChat rooms to be notified when the issue satisfies the provided JQL.

Eg: if the JQL is priority = "Blocker", and the post function is added in the Create transition, notifications will be sent to the HipChat rooms selected when an issue with priority Blocker is created!

Notify Issue Events

You can configure individual projects to notify the issue events to selected HipChat Rooms. Following events are supported.

• Issue Created
• Issue Updated
• Issue Assigned
• Issue Commented
• Issue Deleted
• Workflow Changes

It is also possible to subscribe to selected events only.

You can configure this for individual projects under Project Administration > Actions dropdown.
